Volunteer to be the OpenMRS RefApp 2.4 Release Manager!

OpenMRS Devs,

We need to fill the role of Release Manager for OpenMRS Reference Application 2.4, which is scheduled for release in March. Being a release manager is a valuable experience for any open source developer, lets you influence the road map and priorities for the community, and gives you the opportunity to make a substantial and prominent contribution to the OpenMRS mission. The job of a release manager is not to do all the work; rather, to make decisions on what goes into the release and to guide the community through the release process.

Remember, we are a community that works together, so you will not be alone in the release process. We have a documented process, weekly project management calls to discuss issues, and several previous release managers in our community who can provide mentoring for you and answer your questions.

Thanks to @tharunya and @maany for managing the last Reference Application 2.3 and Platform 2.0 of OpenMRS… and thank you for considering volunteering for this important role!

OpenMRS Devs,

We are still in need of someone to be the release manager for OpenMRS 2.4. The job of the release manager is not to do all the work; rather, to make decisions on what can & can’t make it into the release and see that we work through the release process.

If you consider yourself a /dev/2 or /dev/3 and are interested in becoming a /dev/4 or you already consider yourself a /dev/4 or /dev/5 but have not yet been a release manager, then this is great opportunity.

I will need a lot of guidance though.

Thank you @jdegraft for stepping up and volunteering. We will wait until 31st January to give a chance for others to respond.We will get back with you on how to proceed after that. Thank you once again for your interest to contribute!
